Thank you greeting to HM the Queen Margrethe II
Your Majesty,
On behalf of the Rebild National Park Society and Danish-Americans I would like to express heartfelt gratitude not only for your extraordinary dedication and unrelenting commitment to the Kingdom of Denmark, but also for the support Your Majesty and The Royal House have provided for many years to both the Rebild National Park Society and the beautiful tradition of the Rebild Festival, where we celebrate the inviolable friendship between Denmark and the USA, as well as the importance of maintaining and strengthening the personal friendships and family ties.
Ever since the speech held by His Majesty King Christian X back in 1912 The Royal House has shown great interest in the Rebild National Park Society and the celebration of the American Independence Day on 4th July. For this we are both grateful and very pleased, just as we are proud of Your Majesty being our patron. We have greatly appreciated your attendance and the participation of the members of the royal family at the Rebild Festivals.
At the moment Your Majesty enjoys loving and respectful gratitude from all levels of the Danish society and from the whole world, not least from the Danes, who ventured out in the world and their descendants. It is impressive, how you have managed to be a unifying nucleus for us Danes in a way that has earned great respect. Your Majesty’s efforts have been marked by an unwavering devotion to our country and to us Danes, and the wisdom, commitment and well-qualified diplomatic sense, especially portrayed in Your Majesty’s speeches, are qualifications that have served as a role model for us to follow.
Your Majesty has safeguarded traditions while encouraging the Royal House to become an important part of the modern Denmark, where you, together with the Crown Prince Couple (now: King and Queen) today have an iconic status as important carriers of culture, unifying Danes.
Your Majesty, you and your family thus play an exceptional role in the binding of us together in a difficult time, where European unity, and the bond between Denmark and the USA is more important than ever.
We are looking forward to continuing the good co-operation with Your Majesty in whichever way it will be. We also look forward to working together with the new sovereigns. We are convinced that His Majesty King Frederik X will be a good and strong king, who together with Her Majesty Queen Mary will lead Denmark in an outstanding and inspiring way. The support of the Royal House to the Rebild National Park Society is of invaluable importance to us. Once again, we express our heartfelt gratitude.
Best regards,
Rebild National Park Society Inc.
