
The Rebild Foundation supports young Danes traveling to study in the US and Americans traveling to study in Denmark.
Applications for studies in other countries will be disregarded.
The previous foundations, “Diana & Irene’s Foundation”, “William S. Knudsen & Clara Elisabeth Knudsen Rebild Foundation”, and the “1000 $ Foundation” have been joined into one foundation. Consequently, you only have to send one application.
We only grant scholarships for longterm studies abroad at university level and of at least one semester or more. We do not support studies at high schools, summer schools, or short internships.
Closing date for applications is April 1, at 9 a.m every year for the following academic year.
Applications received after deadline will NOT be considered.
We will ONLY receive applications electronically.

We provide funding for:
* Study programs for Danes studying in the USA and Americans studying in Denmark.
* Long-term study programs at university level with a minimum duration of one semester.
We do NOT provide funding for:
* Studies in countries other than Denmark or the USA.
* Internship placements.
* Summer study programs.
* High school.
The application must be submitted as ONE single document and must include the following:

1) Portrait photo.
A portrait photo of the applicant IS requires.
2) Statement of purpose / motivation letter.
The selection process emphasizes the statement of purpose and the justification for seeking to study in Denmark and the United States, respectively.
3) Full CV / brief biography.
A detailed CV is required, outlining your complete academic and professional background.
4) Budget.
(it is not possible to apply for a specific amount).
A comprehensive budget covering the full duration of your studies abroad must be provided.
5) Documentation
Documentation of enrollment from the educational institution in Denmark.
Proof of enrollment from the host university must be provided (applicable to Danes in the US and Americans in Denmark).
Candidates are required to travel abroad (to either Denmark or the USA) as part of their education.
6) Facts
Facts about / description of the study program.
Please provide a description of the degree program and an explanation of your motivation for pursuing part of your studies abroad.
* We only accept applications submitted electronically.

* ALL inquiries should be directed to the Board of Directors of the Rebild Foundation who are the only ones authorized to answer questions regarding the grant and the foundation

* Applications received after the deadline or those that do not comply with all guidelines will NOT be considered.
* The selected scholarship recipients will be notified individually and publicly announced at the Rebild Celebration on July 4 every year.
* Please note that applicants who will note receive a scholarship will not receive a rejection letter.
Grant recipients are required to:
* Attend the events on July 4th. This involves participating in the official Tent Luncheon, the celebrations in the Rebild Hills, and a scheduled photo session.
* Submit a bilingual report (in Danish and English) about the stay, which will be featured on our website and published in the Rebild Society’s membership magazine (subject to available space).
* Contribute social media posts on a monthly basis throughout the stay.
